Variants, stock and delivery

Variants are the options a buyer chooses between, for example 30 days, 90 days or lifetime. Each variant has its own price, stock and delivery.

Deliverables type

On the Pricing & Stock tab of the product editor, above the variants, you choose how the product is delivered and how its stock works:

TypeDeliversStockBest for
SerialsItems you pre-load, one per line.Based on the number of entered items. Infinite stock is not available.License keys, accounts, gift cards, top-up codes
FilesDownloadable files attached to each variant, as signed time-limited links.Set manually, or infinite.E-books, templates, digital assets

A Serials product delivers stock lines only and a Files product delivers files only. If you switch the type, existing lines and files are kept (you are asked to confirm), but only what the new type delivers is handed out. Products created before this setting existed keep working exactly as before: they show no type until you pick one, and then deliver both lines and files as always. Products that only had stock lines or only had files were assigned Serials or Files automatically.

Instructions

The Instructions field is a rich text note shown to the customer on the order page once the payment is completed, and, on Premium and Pro, in the delivery e-mail as plain text. Use it to explain how to redeem or use the delivered items. It can be up to 50 KB. Unsafe HTML such as scripts is removed when you save.

Variants

A product can have up to 50 variants. For each variant you set:

A product always keeps at least one variant. If you do not add variants, a variant called "Default" is created from the price.

Stock: one delivery per line

Set a variant to managed stock to deliver unique items such as license keys, account details or links. Each line of text you add is one deliverable:

Unlimited stock variants never run out. They are meant for downloads, access links or products where every buyer gets the same thing.

Downloadable files

Attach files to a variant to deliver them after payment. Files are limited to 25 MB each and common archive, document, text and code formats are allowed (for example zip, rar, 7z, pdf, txt, md, json, csv, xml, lua, js, py). Paid files are stored privately and are never served as public links. Buyers receive time-limited download links after their payment is confirmed.

Redirect URL

A variant can have a redirect URL. After a completed payment, the buyer is redirected there. It must be an http or https address.

What the buyer receives

If an order is refunded or in dispute, downloads are no longer available.
