Orders, customers and refunds

Every paid order appears in your dashboard with its fee and what you earn.

Orders

The Orders page lists your orders with the buyer's e-mail, product, amount, status, the SellSpace fee and the net amount for you. The fee shown is the one that applied at the time of the sale. Orders also show custom field answers.

StatusMeaning
CompletedPaid and delivered.
RefundedThe payment was returned to the buyer. Net amount is zero and downloads are disabled.
Failed / otherThe payment did not complete.

Customers

The Customers page groups orders by buyer e-mail address. You act as the controller of your customers' data; see the Privacy Policy and the data processing terms.

Resend a delivery

Order e-mails to your customers are sent on Premium and Pro. On Free, customers get their purchase on the order page and in My account.

On Premium and Pro, if a buyer lost their delivery e-mail, you can send it again from the order. To prevent abuse there is a short wait between resends. Buyers can also look up their order with their order reference and e-mail address.

Refunds

  1. Open the order and choose to refund it.
  2. For orders paid through Stripe, SellSpace asks Stripe to refund the payment to the buyer's original payment method.
  3. The order is marked as refunded and delivered downloads are no longer available.

Only paid orders can be refunded, and an order can be refunded once. Every seller sets their own refund rules and must show them in their store. See the Refund Policy.

Disputes and chargebacks

If a buyer disputes a payment with their bank, the dispute is handled in your Stripe dashboard. An order under dispute cannot be refunded in SellSpace. The seller carries the disputed amount and any Stripe dispute fees.
