Set up a custom domain

Use shop.yourbrand.com instead of your-name.sell-space.com. Needs a Premium or Pro plan.

What you need

• A Premium or Pro plan (Billing & Subscription).
• A domain and access to its DNS settings at your registrar.

Steps

1. Add the domainOpen Settings, Domains. Enter the domain name only, for example shop.example.com. No https:// and no path.
2. Copy the TXT recordThe dashboard shows a TXT host and a value. Create this record at your DNS provider.
3. Copy the routing recordCreate a CNAME record from your domain to the target shown in the dashboard. (If the target is an IP address, create an A record instead.)
4. Wait for DNSDNS changes can take from minutes to a few hours.
5. VerifyPress verify in the dashboard. When the TXT value matches, the domain is verified and your shop is served on it.

Troubleshooting

• No TXT record found: the record is not visible yet. Wait and retry, and check the host name has no typo.
• Value does not match: copy the token again, without extra spaces or quotes.
• Apex domains: some DNS providers do not allow a CNAME on the root domain. Use a subdomain such as shop.example.com, or ask your provider about alias records.
